“When you say Truffle, you think of Alba. It's natural.”

The hills around the capital of the Langhe have always represented the most important treasure chest, on a global level, of the "diamond of the earth", the prized White Truffle ( Tuber Magnatum Pico ) which also took its name from Alba.

Perhaps it's the perfect balance of soil and climate, with its humidity and low rainfall; the marly, calcareous soils with a slight presence of sand; or the proximity to the 45th parallel, the heart of the temperate zone, equidistant from the North Pole and the Equator. Or perhaps it's the plants and the morphological conformation of the hills, which create shady, humid ravines, crossed by small streams, allowing for the ideal root development for symbiosis with truffle spores.

Yet, the excellence of the Alba area for truffles is something more, something alchemical .

It is the inexplicable union between the joyful spontaneity of nature and the equally joyful imagination of man. Here, and only here, has created the conditions for the truffle to find its proper celebration in the kitchen , uniting and expressing its true potential alongside the other excellences of the Langhe – hazelnuts, wine, honey, meat, and cheeses.

Tartuflanghe is rooted in this inextricable dimension of spontaneity and technical expertise, the natural origin of quality and culinary elaboration.

Here's how we select and ship truffles to your home.

Cuisine and nature, purity and art, gifts of the earth and human industriousness. A bond also recognized by UNESCO, which in 2014 declared the Langhe hills a World Heritage Site and, a few years later, included Alba in the Creative Cities for Gastronomy network : the highest international recognition for culinary creativity, the fruit of the close connection between the region's excellence and the human ability to enhance it throughout the food and wine supply chain.
