Between Harvest and Truffles
Today we tell you the story of Nico Cordero, the soul and heart of the Pedemontis Farm, closely linked to Tartuflanghe by family ties and entrepreneurial vision.
His passion is not limited to his family, his sons Francesco and Giovanni, but extends to the woods and vineyards that he tends with dedication throughout the year.
With a tenacious, frank, and concrete approach, Nico understands every single need of his lands, accompanying them through the rhythm of the seasons.
On October 15th, Pedemontis finally harvested the Roero grapes, thus concluding the last harvest of a very difficult year. Today, STEIJ, the family's new wine, is born .
Tartuflanghe and Pedemontis: a shared vision.
Pedemontis' mission, however, goes beyond mere wine production.
Sustainability is a fundamental pillar of the company, as demonstrated by the project launched in 2017: by managing 120 hectares of woodland, including 30 hectares dedicated to truffle cultivation , Nico and Tartuflanghe demonstrate their commitment to preserving biodiversity. The creation of new truffle grounds and the restoration of existing ones are tangible examples of a philosophy aimed at enhancing Piedmont's forest heritage and precious natural resources like truffles.
